At Farray's International Dance Center (Barcelona, Eixample) you can book a welcome class to get to know us: special price during promotional season, or with a courtesy price (from 10€) the rest of the year. You can also come with drop-in participation from 20€. No pressure, no pretense, and with a team that makes it easy from minute one.

The first thing I want you to know (because it will take pressure off you)

At Farray's, being a beginner is completely normal. In fact, more than 80% of our students started without any prior experience. And I can guarantee you one thing: nobody cares about your level. Everyone is focused on their own process.

How your first class works (step by step)

So you come with confidence, here's how it typically works:

Do I need to come with a partner?

In most beginner classes it's not mandatory to come with a partner. And if a format requires partners or rotation, we'll explain it to you so you're comfortable from the start.

Which style to choose if you're starting out

If right now all you know is that "you want to dance", perfect. Choose by feeling, not by theory:

The rule that makes you improve (and almost nobody applies)

In dance there's a formula that never fails: repetition + consistency. Your body learns like it learns a language: at first you think too much, you get stuck, you get frustrated… and suddenly one day it happens: you start doing steps without thinking. That's called muscle memory. And it's the moment when dancing stops being effort and becomes pleasure.

Don't compare yourself to anyone (compare yourself to you)

In a beginner class you might find:

If you get stuck, ask (and if you want to accelerate, there's an option)

If a movement is giving you trouble:

Will you come meet us?

If this guide has cleared some mental noise for you, that's it: that's what was missing.
