Why is Afrobeats taking Barcelona by storm?
Afrobeats is much more than a musical style: it is the contemporary heartbeat of Africa, an explosion of energy and creativity that fuses African heritage with global sounds.
Born in Nigeria and Ghana in the late 90s, Afrobeats captures the essence of traditional African rhythms like highlife and Yoruba music, mixing them with influences from funk, hip hop, dancehall, electronic and international pop.
Dancing Afrobeats is immersing yourself in a passionate and constantly evolving culture, where tradition and modernity are in continuous interaction.
Every step, every gesture, is a celebration of African identity, freedom of expression and the joy of living.
