Do I need previous fitness experience to sign up?
No. The class is Open Level (open to all levels). Cris adapts the intensity of each exercise to your ability. Whether it's your first time exercising or you already have experience, you'll work at your own pace with personalized progressions.
What glute exercises are done in class?
We work on the most effective exercises according to science: hip thrust, squats, glute bridge, lunges, Romanian deadlift and glute kickbacks. All combined with dance techniques and music to make it fun.
What is hip thrust and why is it so effective?
Hip thrust is a hip extension exercise that activates the gluteus maximus more than any other exercise according to electromyography (EMG) studies. It's the #1 recommended exercise by experts like Bret Contreras for developing strong glutes with volume.
How long until I see results in my glutes?
First 2-4 weeks: you'll notice your glutes feel more "active" and firm to the touch. 4-8 weeks: visible changes in tone and shape. 3-6 months: noticeable increase in volume and definition. Results with 1 weekly class + complementary exercise.
Does glute training help with lower back pain?

What should I bring to Bum Bum Glutes class?
Required equipment: comfortable workout clothes (leggings, t-shirt), athletic shoes, small towel, water bottle. Optional: resistance bands (we provide them).

No. Although most participants are women, men can also benefit greatly from glute training. Strong glutes improve athletic performance, prevent injuries and improve posture in anyone.
How much does the Bum Bum Glutes welcome class cost?

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
There's no contract or minimum commitment. At Farray's Center we work month to month: you only pay for the months you attend. You can pause or cancel at any time without penalties.
Can I combine Bum Bum with other academy classes?
Yes, it's an ideal combination. Many students combine Bum Bum Glutes with Stretching (for flexibility) or dance classes like Reggaeton or Twerk. Strong glutes improve your performance in any dance style.
How many calories are burned in a class?
A 60-minute Bum Bum Amazing Glutes class burns approximately 300-400 calories, depending on your body weight and intensity. It's strength training with an aerobic component thanks to the dance techniques.
Does glute training increase volume or just tone?
Both. Exercises like hip thrust and squats develop muscle (hypertrophy), which increases volume. At the same time, regular training reduces body fat and improves muscle definition. The result is glutes that are both larger AND more toned.
Can I do Bum Bum Glutes if I have knee problems?
It depends on the specific condition. Hip thrust is generally safe for knees because it doesn't involve deep flexion. However, we recommend consulting with your doctor first and letting Cris know at the start of class to adapt exercises.
