Do I need previous dance experience to start?
No, our classes are open to all levels. We start from the fundamentals so you can build a solid technical base from scratch.
What clothes and footwear do I need for classes?
Comfortable, fitted clothing that allows seeing body lines (leggings, leotard or fitted t-shirt). Footwear: jazz shoes, dance socks or barefoot, according to preference.
Is Modern Jazz good physical exercise?
Excellent. You work flexibility, strength, coordination, cardiovascular endurance and body control. It's a complete workout that's also fun.
What's the difference between Modern Jazz and Lyrical Jazz?
Modern Jazz has a more technical and academic base, influenced by classical ballet and modern dance. It focuses on technique, turns, jumps and movement precision. Lyrical Jazz, on the other hand, places greater emphasis on emotional interpretation and connection with song lyrics, with more fluid and expressive movements. Alejandro Miñoso is a professional dancer and Modern Jazz teacher at Farray's Center. Trained in the Cuban school, he combines the precision and elegance of classical dance with the fluidity and expressiveness of contemporary and jazz. His methodology focuses on building solid technique while developing artistic expression.
Can I try a Modern Jazz class before enrolling?

What Modern Jazz levels do you have?
We currently offer basic level classes for people with little experience.
What if I miss a class due to work or commitments?
If you have a membership and cancel a class, you have 30 days to make it up from the date of the cancelled class. If you have an hours package, you manage your classes flexibly: cancel and book another day within the expiration period. All management is done exclusively through the academy's digital app.
What type of music is used in classes?
Varied: from jazz classics and Broadway musicals to contemporary music. Musicality is a fundamental part of training.
Can I sign up at any time of year?
Yes, our system is open. You can join whenever you want without waiting for a new cycle to start.
Do you organize performances or galas?
Yes, we have an annual gala where students can shine on a professional stage. We also organize workshops and masterclasses with guest artists.
