What exactly is Salsa Lady Style?
Salsa Lady Style (or "ladies styling") is a dance discipline that focuses on developing feminine technique within salsa: arm styling, spins, hip work, elegance and body expression. It is mainly practiced individually or in groups, without a partner.
Do I need to know how to dance salsa to start Lady Style?
It is not necessary. Although knowing the basics of salsa helps, many students start Lady Style from scratch. The Farray Method® is designed so you can learn from any level.
Are the classes only for women?
Lady Style traditionally focuses on feminine expression, but our classes are open to all people who want to develop this dance style.
Do I need heels for the classes?
For beginners, you can start with sneakers. As you advance, we recommend dance heels (3-7cm). We have specific heels technique classes.
What is the difference between Lady Style and Ladies Styling?
They are interchangeable terms. "Lady Style", "Ladies Styling", "Estilo Chica" or "Feminine Technique" all refer to the same discipline: developing feminine expression in salsa dancing.
How long do I need to see results?
From the first class you will notice changes in your posture and body awareness. In 2-3 months of regular practice, you will see a significant transformation in your style and confidence.
Can I try a class before enrolling?
Depending on the season, the welcome class may be free or have a symbolic price. The idea is that you can experience the Farray Method® without commitment.
What clothes should I wear?
Comfortable clothes that allow movement. Many students prefer dresses or skirts to practice spins, but it is not mandatory. The important thing is to feel comfortable.
Will Lady Style help me dance better with a partner?
Absolutely! Lady Style develops your technique, elegance and presence. These skills transfer directly to your partner dancing, making you a better follower and more expressive.
Do you do performances or showcases?
Yes. We have an annual gala where students can show their evolution on a professional stage. We also organize showcases and participate in events.
Who is Yunaisy Farray?
Yunaisy Farray is a Cuban dancer and teacher, CID-UNESCO member, trained at the National School of Art of Cuba. She is the creator of the Farray Method® and director of the academy.
What is the Farray Method®?
It is an exclusive teaching system developed by Yunaisy Farray that prioritizes feminine expression, elegance and musicality before complex figures. It guarantees fast and solid results.
What if I miss a class?
If you have a membership, you have 30 days to make up cancelled classes. With an hour package, you manage your classes flexibly from the academy app.
How many calories are burned in a class?
A Lady Style class burns between 300-400 calories per hour, combining cardiovascular work with toning of legs, glutes and core.
